Property tax widget
Add the yearly property tax for a home price to your own page. After choosing a state and a price, copy the HTML.
Plain HTML makes up this widget, and it has one link. Your page receives no script, font, or tracking from it.
How the widget looks once added to your page
Sample widget: a Texas home priced at $300,000
The box above builds yours from the state, county and price you select. It fills the width of the space where you paste it.
Where the property tax widget helps
- Add it to a listing beside the price so buyers can see the yearly tax before they ask.
- Add it to a guide for moving or relocation that compares states.
- Add it to a budgeting post that totals the full cost of home ownership.
Multiply the home price by the median effective rate for the state, as reported in the Census American Community Survey. A county's rate may be higher or lower. For rates in each county, the widget's link opens the state's property tax rates.
