Only estimates
A bill, an appraisal, or tax advice is not what any figure on this site represents; each one is an estimate. Your county assessor sets your value, or an appraisal district does this in some states. Rates come from local taxing units. Pay, buy, borrow, or protest only after you verify with your county. Decisions made from these estimates leave us free of liability.
Accuracy
We draw figures and rules from official sources and fix any errors we find, but laws, rates, and deadlines do change. Each page links to the official source, which has the final say.
Reuse
Under CC BY 4.0, the county property tax data may be reused if you credit property-tax-calculator.org and the Census American Community Survey. You may also paste the property tax widget onto your own pages. You may not copy the remaining site text or design without permission.
